Bathing with CBD Bath Bombs! Great for Fibromyalgia & Improve Sleep

If you are looking for a liquid relaxation therapy then adding a few drops of CBD oil to your warm bath will be a good idea. It is good for you because it is a good way to soothe tired muscles, relieve pain and swelling, really peaceful and relaxing and it allows you to transition to sleep and wake up feeling refreshed in the morning. Of course, there are other benefits from adding CBD oil to your bath water. 

CBD has become a popular supplement among people who have medical conditions such as but not limited to arthritis, fibromyalgia and other chronic pain disorders. Based on scientific studies, there are several cannabinoids in the plant, but THC and CBD are the ones that targets and fights pain and inflammation. 

In 2013, a review that was conducted released an information that cannabidiol (CBD) can help to relieve pain caused by fibromyalgia and other conditions, including illnesses such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. In instances were topical lotion is infused with CBD, it can be applied to the skin on the areas affected by arthritis.

For those with a condition of fibromyalgia, the person suffers with widespread body pain and stiffness in the muscles and joints as well as sleep problems. Having a bath with CBD oil is one of the best solutions to have your whole body relax before going to bed. You can simply do this by making cannabis infused bath bombs. With this approach and home remedy, patients report that CBD greatly helps with chronic pain, sleep, endurance, anxiety, depression, inflammation, muscle spasms, overall mental health and well-being, mood and more. 

To set the right expectations, there are those who have reported that CBD oil does not help for them. It should be noted however that some hemp oils has very little cannabinoids content. That may explain why some patient that suffers with the condition have reported that they have not experienced any improvement at all.

To ensure that you are getting the best quality, it is suggested to make your own CBD oil or ensure to always buy only from a reputable brand. 

Here’s a recipe that you can make using easy to source ingredients: 100mg CBD from CBD Ireland Online, 1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil, 1 cup baking soda, ½ cup citric acid, ½ cup epsom salt, ½ cup cornstarch, 1 teaspoon water, a few drops of food coloring (vary the volume to the intensity of your desired color), and of course your choice of essential oils for therapeutic effect and fragrance - around 30-40 drops. 

Equipment needed: large bowl, small bowl, whisk, bath bomb mold 

Instructions on how to make your own bath bombs: 

  1. Get a large bowl and place all the dry ingredients. 

  2. Mix together with a whisk. 

  3. In a small bowl, mix the liquid ingredients together, including the CBD oil until well blended. 

  4. Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients a little bit at a time. Make sure that the mixture holds together when squeezed without crumbling.

  5. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together and pack the mixture into your molds. Make sure to pack tightly and allow to dry. Make sure to also work quickly as the mixture could dry out really fast. 

Note that your bath bombs would need a full day to harden. Before taking them out of the mold, make sure that they have hardened already.
